Train passengers faced delays last night after a drunk man fell on to the tracks at Inverkeithing rail station.

Emergency services were called to the station at 6.50pm yesterday (Monday) with concerns over a man in his fifties.

Services were disrupted due to the incident between North Queensferry and Dalgety Bay and began returning to normal at 9.30pm.

To keep customers moving ScotRail were able to arrange for valid train tickets to be used on Stagecoach services. They have encouraged customers who were delayed by 30 minutes or more to claim compensation.
