Prize pies under the spotlight at Dunfermline judging day
OVER 50 experts will gather in Dunfermline this week to weigh up the best pies in the land.
The World Champion Scotch Pie Awards 2019's judging day is being held at the Carnegie Conference Centre on Wednesday.
Butchers and bakers from far and wide have entered the prestigious pie competition and the substantial judging panel will judge all of the pies on appearance before taking a bite and picking out the best.
Among the categories will be best Scotch Pie, Football Pies & Savouries, Macaroni Pie, Steak Pie, Sausage Roll, Vegetarian Savoury, Haggis Savoury, Bridie and Apple Pie.
The winners will be announced at a prestigious lunch at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld in January.
