NATIONWIDE’S Pitreavie branch has benefitted from a refurbishment to take it into the digital age.

The building society held an opening event on November 3 to celebrate the new look at Carnegie Avenue, with Provost Jim Leishman overseeing proceedings.

The new branch design is more spacious, with an improved, open-plan layout of the banking hall so members can do their banking in the way that suits them best.

The branch also has a mix of spaces for informal and formal conversations – whether it’s using the open-plan seating area, the informal community lounge or a quiet chat in the private meeting room.

Ashleigh Towell, customer service manager at the Nationwide Pitreavie branch, told the Press: “It was great to host an opening event at our branch for both existing and new members.

“All our team were on hand to answer any questions and help members.

“The technology we now have in the branch can help members in a variety of ways, including the iPads so members can feel comfortable using technology with the help of our staff, or if they require assistance, can talk to one of our consultants.

“This new branch design has been positively received in other areas of the UK, and we hope our members here will feel the same.

“Investing in our local area is part of Nationwide’s five-year commitment to invest £500 million in our branches to give our members the branch network that’s right for them.”
