A MAN put "lives at risk" after driving at more than double the speed limit in Dunfermline.
The driver was clocked travelling past Lynebank Hospital and Fife College at a speed of 67mph, well over the 30mph limit.
The owner of the Ford vehicle will be hearing from the East Safety Camera Unit and will subsequently be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for the offence which took place yesterday (Thursday).
East Safety Camera Unit Manager, Andy Jones, said: “The reason a safety camera van visits this location is because there is a history of people being injured on this road.
"This is a busy location and has a college and hospital nearby, this driver has paid no heed to the speed limit and has put his own and other lives at risk by driving so recklessly.”
