The red carpet was rolled out as hometown hero and Manchester City star Caroline Weir flicked on Dunfermline’s Christmas lights along with Santa.
Huge crowds gathered to enjoy the first events of the festive season with a parade along the High Street.
At the Glen Gates there was some high-class entertainment from Steve McCrorie following the switch-on.
