THREE men have been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the fire at the former Inverkeithing Primary School.

Police have arrested two 20-year-old men and a 19-year-old man after Monday night's incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We have arrested two men aged 20 and a 19-year-old man in connection with the ongoing investigation into a deliberate fire in Inverkeithing.

"Emergency services responded to the incident at the former Inverkeithing Primary School building on Roods Road on Monday 19 November.

"Inquiries remain ongoing."

Fire crews raced to the scene at Roods Road at around 9.20pm as a blaze ripped through the building.

Nine engines and up to 40 firefighters were called out as emergency services battled to extinguish the fire.

There were no casualties, but one woman was taken to hospital as a precaution due to smoke inhalation.
