The last train from Edinburgh to Dunfermline tonight has been cancelled.
ScotRail have cited staff shortages as the reason for the cut service.
The 23.19 train which stops at North Queensferry, Inverkeithing and Rosyth before going on to Dunfermline was already cancelled early this afternoon.
The latest train to get back from the capital will be almost an hour and half before at 21.53.
Crew shortage problems have been blamed on the ongoing dispute which has seen a union ban on overtime.
However, ScotRail say it is because of the final push to deliver the December timetable improvements.
More to follow in this week's Press.
