POSH frocks and black ties were the order of the day for a glitzy fundraiser organised by the Fife League of Ladies.

The masquerade ball took place at the Keavil House Hotel in Crossford on Saturday November 24 and raised over £3,000 for children’s charity CHAS.

Spokesperson Garry Stanton said the event was a phenomenal success.

“The League of Ladies, the organising committee led by chairman Debbie Stanton, raised at least £3000 on the night alone through auctions and raffles, but the final amount will not be announced until some time in December as the ladies are still awaiting further donations,” he said.

"The event was held in aid of the children’s hospices charity, CHAS, which does an amazing, invaluable job of looking after children with life-shortening conditions.”

Guests were treated to a glamorous red carpet arrival with bubbles as well as entertainment from one of Scotland’s top cover bands, Suited & Booted, and a disco to dance the night away.

Classical entertainment was provided during the meal when The Leeds Duo provided a musical backdrop.

The organising committee are already looking forward to next year’s fundraiser, a Great Gatsby event, which is due to take place at the Balbirnie House Hotel near Markinch on November 16, 2019.
