A MOTORIST has been charged with a drug-driving offence after a crash near High Valleyfield this morning (Monday).
The collision took place on the A985 at around 6.50am and involved a Citroen car and an HGV.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said the road was closed for vehicle recovery and reopened at around 9am, adding: "A 33-year-old man has been charged with a drug-driving offence. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
Firefighters had to use specialist cutting equipment to remove one trapped male from the car.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service added: “The casualty was checked over at the scene by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel before being transferred to Victoria Hospital for further treatment.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
