WEST FIFE history was brought to life for pupils at Inzievar Primary School this week.

The youngsters were treated to lessons with a difference when storytelling duo Macastory visited the school for the session on topics ranging from Andrew Carnegie to the Skids and the Kinema Ballroom.

The pair provide an interactive experience, using raps, songs, puppets and toys to help get their story across.

Headteacher Jane Gray told the Press: “They really loved it. It was entertaining and interactive. They thought it was funny and particularly liked the ‘trith’ or ‘blether’ aspect of the stories where they had to decide which was truth or a lie.

“The children also told me that they had learned the meaning of Dunfermline, which was a town on a hill by the pond. The teachers reported that the children were very engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.”
