A WEST FIFE dance school took a leap forward this week when it moved into its new studio.
The Spotlight Cheer and Dance School opened its premises at St Leonard's Place in Dunfermline earlier this month.
Pupils and their families got a special sneak preview of the facility, which boasts a spring floor, at an open day.
Owner Katie Black said: "It will be Fife’s first purpose-built cheer gym so it is rather exciting for the area. The open day went well. It was a chance for people to come in and see the new place and the kids were so excited about it.
"We first started in Rosyth and used the community centre and the church and we then moved to Inverkeithing to a purpose-built studio which was a much bigger space.
"Over the past few years, we have outgrown that, especially as the cheer teams keep expanding, so we have moved to our new studios.
"There are about 140 kids who come and most of them come two or three times a week so it is a busy place."
