MAJOR disruption on the Fife Circle caused commuter chaos this morning (Monday) as ScotRail services were cancelled or delayed.
A signalling problem at Perth affected trains across the country with mass disruption on the rail network.

Ticket acceptance was arranged with Stagecoach buses between Dunfermline, Dalgety Bay and Aberdour, but commuters travelling from Inverkeithing and Edinburgh were not covered.

The incident comes less than a week after ScotRail launched their new winter timetable, which has sparked backlash from passengers due to cancellations and over-crowding.
Train faults, maintenance requirements and a shortage of train crew has already resulted in 19 cancellations set for later this morning and into the evening.
