A WELLWOOD woman was involved in a scam in which she pretended to be her grandmother to receive £2,000 from Sky Digital.
Toni Young, 21, of Burt Street, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on December 7, 2016, at an address in Dunfermline, and elsewhere, she pretended to officers of Sky Digital that she was her 77-year-old grandmother and that she wanted to redeem a quantity of direct debit payments claiming they had been unlawfully paid.
The truth was she had no authority from her gran to make such a claim and that she obtained £2,000 by fraud.
Sheriff Charles MacNair called for reports and Young will be sentenced on February 6.
