Five youths have been charged following the attempted murder of two men in Dalgety Bay.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the West Way area of the Hillend Industrial Estate, Dalgety Bay, at around 9.40pm on Thursday, January 3 after two men aged 41 and 57 were found with serious injuries.

Two males aged 15 and 14 are due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today, while two other 15-year-old males and a 15-year-old female will appear at a later date.

All five have also been charged in connection with the assault of a 63-year-old man during the same incident.

Sergeant Kate Blackwell from Dalgety Bay Police Station said: "The level of violence and aggression used during the attack of these three men was horrendous and entirely unacceptable.

"Through Operation Path we utilise all resources at our disposal to prevent crimes of violence occurring within The Kingdom, and to investigate thoroughly any incidents, which do arise.

"Violent crime will not be tolerated and anyone found to be involved in such offences will be robustly dealt with."
