A MAN has been charged in connection with nine offences of housebreaking and theft in Fife.

The incidents occurred between December 11 and January 9, with seven taking place in Dunfermline, Inverkeithing and Kelty.

He is also one of two men to be charged with breaking-in and stealing from a business in Glenrothes overnight on Monday, January 7 and into Tuesday 8.

Four vehicles were stolen during the incident and later recovered in Fife and the Forth Valley area.

The 28-year-old was set to appear with the second man, 23, today (Thursday) at Alloa Sheriff Court.

Detective Sergeant Mark Beveridge from Glenrothes CID said: “We remain committed to working with colleagues across all divisions to ensure incidents such as these are robustly investigated.

“I’d urge the public to always report any suspicious behaviour in their area to us on 101, or 999 if you witness a crime in progress."

The first man, 28, has been charged in connection with instances of housbreaking and thefts at the following locations and dates: Edzell Way, Dunfermline (December 11), Church Street, Inverkeithing (Dec 12), High Street, Inverkeithing (Dec 13), Kestrel Avenue, Dunfermline (Dec 23), Brambling Road, Dunfermline (Dec 30), Mallard Grove, Dunfermline (Dec 31), Seafar Drive, Kelty (Jan 7).

Two charges were also made against incidents of housebreaking in Dollar on Jan 9 and in Tillicoultry the same day.
