A DUNFERMLINE chef who stole meat from Tesco returned a week later to repeat the crime.
Adam Roeleveld helped himself to meat worth more than £300 in his two visits to the supermarket.
Roeleveld, 33, of Turnbull Grove, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He previously admitted that on July 25 and August 1, at Tesco, Winterthur Lane, Dunfermline, he stole a quantity of meat.
Defence solicitor Roshni Joshi said: “He has three children and was keen to take them on holiday. He booked a holiday but money became an issue and he acted in this fashion.
“He’s aware this is a serious matter.”
Sheriff Craig McSherry fined Roeleveld £280 and ordered him to pay £338.58 compensation to Tesco.
