A PART of the M90 will close overnight on Sunday for planned forestry works near Kelty.

The motorway will be shut between junction 4 and 5 as trees are felled at Blairadam Forest in an area close to the road.

The work to be carried out by Forest Enterprise Scotland is set to take place between 10.00pm on Sunday evening into 6.30am on Monday morning.

Andrew Clark, area visitor services manager, said: "This work forms part of our ongoing forest maintenance and will minimise any future disruptions for travellers on the M90. Once complete, the forest will offer a more varied green space and improve the overall visitor experience.”

Drivers on the motorway will follow a temporary diversion through Kelty during this time.
