POLICE are set to keep an eagle eye on anti-social behaviour in North Queensferry after installing a Domehawk CCTV camera.

Members of the village's community council were informed at their meeting last week that the equipment is now being deployed at Pierhead in an effort to tackle ongoing issues.

Local councillor Dave Dempsey said the move follows similar action which had been taken in Dalgety Bay's Harbour Place.

"There have been folk in cars running round there in the evenings," he explained.

"They aren't going at huge speeds obviously but it is low-level anti-social behaviour which is wearing for the residents.

"There had been similar problems in the car park at Battery Road and a barrier was put across there at night and discussions are ongoing about what the best solution is."

The CCTV camera was put in place in Dalgety Bay in October after fed-up residents complained they were being plagued by anti-social behaviour.

Locals had reported to police incidents of drivers congregating at the public car park and blaring loud music, revving their engines, shouting and swearing.
