DO YOU think it’s safe for children to cross one of the busiest junctions in Fife on their way to school?

The roundabout at Admiralty Road separates Rosyth and Inverkeithing with the A985 passing underneath the M90 motorway.

Currently, Fife Council believes this walking route is a safe way for Rosyth pupils to get to Inverkeithing High School.

However, the community overwhelmingly thinks it’s not.

The issue has been highlighted on the back of the catchment changes for West Fife schools, meaning Kings Road and Camdean Primary Schools have been rezoned from Dunfermline to Inverkeithing for their secondary education.

Some children will have to walk to school because they’re not eligible to apply for subsidised transport.

Look out for more coverage of this issue in the coming days and in next week’s Dunfermline Press.
