BUS lane cameras are set to be introduced on two busy Warrington roads.

Council bosses are proposing to add the cameras to existing bus lanes on Wilderspool Causeway and Legh Street in the town centre.

It follows the introduction of cameras on Knutsford Road, the bus gate near to The Halliwell Jones Stadium and on lower Bridge Street back in 2017.

The cameras and enforcement would be in place on the Causeway from 7.30am until 9.30am and 4.30pm until 6.30pm each day.

And on Legh Street they will catch drivers turning right onto Legh Street from Bath Street or from the exit road of the Bath Street Medical Centre.

It will also be illegal to turn left from the Golden Square Shopping Centre car park onto Legh Street.

As reported in the Warrington Guardian last year, thousands of motorists were caught out when cameras were brought in on Knutsford Road.
