VALUABLES worth over £4000 were taken during a house break in in Rosyth last week.

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses after the incident which took place in the Woodside Avenue area on Monday, January 14 between 10am and 4pm.

Entry was forced to the premises and items stolen included jewellery, camera equipment and alcohol.

Inquiries are ongoing to trace the stolen property and identify those responsible.

Detective Constable Steven Walker of Dunfermline CID said: “We would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Woodside Avenue area of Rosyth, or who may have captured any suspicious vehicles on private CCTV or dash cam footage, to come forward.

“In particular we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a light grey, small to medium sized family car in the area, both before and after the incident, or the driver of this vehicle, who is described as being over five foot tall, of slim build with neck length hair which was messy/straggly and dark facial hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket.

“Anyone who has information about regarding this crime is asked to contact Dunfermline CID on 101, quoting incident 2471 of 14th January, or contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
