A DUNFERMLINE man carried out a £7,500 fraud against Amazon in a scam which lasted almost a year.
Sean Wilson bought computer parts, claimed they were faulty and sent back cheaper versions.
Wilson, 27, of Inchkeith Drive, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Tuesday and admitted an offence carried out between November 21, 2016, and November 13, 2017, at Amazon Way, Dunfermline.
He formed a fraudulent scheme to obtain goods and money by repeatedly pretending to Amazon staff that he had purchased computer parts which were faulty and he had returned them seeking a refund.
The truth was that the items returned were not the ones purchased and were of lesser value. In this way, he obtained goods and money to the value of £7,500 by fraud.
Sheriff James MacDonald called for reports and Wilson will be sentenced on February 27.
