THE cafe and reading room of Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries will be closed on Monday next week.
The upper floors of the award-winning venue will also be shut for essential maintenance on both Monday and Tuesday.
This means the museum and gallery areas on those levels will be shut as its wooden floors are resurfaced.
Visitors will still be able to attend the adult lending library and the children's library as they'll both remain open during this time.
Heaven Scent cafe will shut on Monday and re-open on Tuesday, as will the reading room.
Joanne Tierney, ONFife operations manager said: "The refurbishment is taking place ahead of the new 2019 season of events. To maintain our high standards of presentation and customer experience we will be taking this short time to keep the venue looking its best."
