TOOLS with a total value of more than £3,000 were stolen from a white Ford Transit van in Cochrane Avenue, Inverkeithing.
The incident happened between Monday and Tuesday say police, who are now investigating.
Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan, of Dunfermline’s Criminal Investigation Department, said: “I would ask anyone who was in the Cochrane Avenue area of Inverkeithing on Monday, February 11, and saw anything suspicious, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
“This type of crime is concerning for local residents and businesses, particularly when property often used by tradesmen, which is vital to their livelihood, is also taken.
“I would also urge vehicle owners not to leave valuables in vehicles even if they are normally kept out of sight of passers-by.
“Anyone wishing to learn more about how to keep your vehicle safe can do this via the Police Scotland website.”
Those with information can contact officers at Dunfermline CID on 101, quoting incident number 0560 of February 12, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
