Firefighters are currently tackling a house fire in the Hospital Hill area of Dunfermline.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at Johnston Crescent at 8.15am this morning (Friday).
Paramedics also attended the scene to treat one casualty suspected to be suffering from smoke inhalation.
Police were notified of the incident but said they were not in attendance.
A spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.15am on Friday, February 15, to reports of a fire within a house on Johnston Crescent in Dunfermline.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised two fire engines and firefighters extinguished the flames.
“Firefighters assisted one casualty at the scene before being handed into the care of paramedics.
“Crews currently remain in attendance.”
