A DUNFERMLINE man assaulted a neighbour after a dispute about noise.
Christopher Thomson went upstairs to the neighbour’s door to confront him about the noise and a fight broke out.
Thomson, 22, of Blacklaw Road, went on trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He was found guilty of a charge that on February 6 last year at Blacklaw Road he assaulted a man by seizing him, placing him in a headlock and repeatedly punching him on the head to his injury.
Thomson said in his evidence: “I didn’t want a fight. I wanted to resolve our differences.”
He claimed he had been struck first and then defended himself.
However, he was found guilty by Sheriff Charles MacNair.
He called for reports and Thomson will be sentenced on April 17.
