A DRINK driver who was more than four times over the legal limit was then found be in possession of a knife.
The incident resulted in Gabriel-Claudiu Merchea, 42, of Caledonia Court, Rosyth, appearing in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on December 8 at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline, he drove a van having consumed excess alcohol.
His reading was 90 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.
He also admitted that at Queen Anne Street and at Dunfermline police station he was unlawfully in possession of a knife.
Sheriff Chris Shead called for reports and Merchea will be sentenced on April 10.
Merchea had a temporary driving ban imposed with immediate effect.
