Traffic was brought to a halt in Dunfermline this morning after concerns were raised that a man's safety was in danger.

Police were called to the A907 Glen Bridge, near to the Tesco Fire Station store, at 11.15am.

They closed the road in both directions for about half an hour until the incident was dealt with safely.

A Police Scotland spokesman said they would not be issuing a statement and that the issue in the town centre had been resolved.

The road is a main route through Dunfermline and the incident caused disruption to motorists and bus services.
