A three-vehicle crash closed off a major Dunfermline road at rush hour last night.
The Coal Road was blocked off at around 4 pm when a vehicle towing a trailer, a car and a van collided.
The road didn't reopen again until three hours later at 7 pm when the vehicles were recovered.
The ambulance service was in attendance but there appeared to be no casualties.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers were called shortly after 4 pm to Coal Road in Dunfermline, following reports of a three-car collision.
"The road was blocked as a result and reopened at 7 pm."
