POLICE in Fife have confirmed that a man has been taken to hospital following an incident in Dunfermline this morning (Friday). 

Emergency services were called at 11 am to Hill Street, just behind Carnegie Drive Retail Park, amid concerns for a man seen injured. 

The male, in his twenties, has been taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy but does not have life-threatening injuries. 

Police say they are not searching for anyone in connection to the incident. 

Locals reports say there is a heavy police presence in the area and ambulance staff are also in attendance. 

Police have reportedly blocked the road from the top so that no traffic can get through. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Fife were called to Hill Street in Dunfermline around 11 am on Friday 5th April following a report of concern for a man seen injured.

"The man, aged in his twenties, was taken to Victoria Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"Officers are not currently looking for anyone in connection with the matter at this time."
