A MAN has been taken to hospital after a fire in Saline this morning.
Firefighters raced to the blaze in the village's Oaklea just before 11am.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said four fire engines attended the incident.
"Crews were met by a well-developed house fire," he said. "Firefighters extinguished the fire and currently remain on the scene working to make the area safe.
“One casualty, who had exited the building prior to the arrival of crews, was transported to Livingston’s St John’s Hospital by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed a man in his thirties had been taken to hospital.
“We received a call at 1050 hours today to attend an incident in Saline," said the spokesperson. "We dispatched our special operations team, one ambulance and a manager to the scene."
