A DUNFERMLINE man sent abusive text messages to his former partner when she started a new relationship.
Ian Stobo, 41, of Canmore Street, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on March 27, at an address in Limekilns, he sent text messages to his former partner which were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing nature and contained abusive and homophobic remarks.
Defence solicitor Gordon Martin said: “This was in response to the end of their relationship. His former partner had entered a same-sex relationship. He had been led to believe he would reconcile with his former partner and they had spent two nights together.
“Having thought they would reconcile, he then discovered this was not going to be the case. He had been drinking and was upset when he did this.”
Sheriff Keith O’Mahony called for reports and Stobo will be sentenced on May 8.
