AN ELDERLY woman, 72, was found dead in her car in Rosyth earlier this afternoon (Tuesday).
The death is being treated as a "medical matter" with no suspicious circumstances.
Paramedics attended the incident in the Jutland Street area, near Primrose Lane Medical Centre, at around 1pm.
They sadly pronounced her dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "Police in Fife were called to the Jutland Street area of Rosyth at around 1pm on Tuesday 16 April following a report of concern for a woman within a vehicle.
"The Scottish Ambulance Service attended and a 72-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The death is being treated as a medical matter and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
