A DUNFERMLINE teenager is behind bars after punching and biting his mum and also attacking his gran.

Taylor Cockerill, 19, of Chapelwell Place, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on March 13 at his home he assaulted his mother by repeatedly punching her on the head and body, biting her, seizing her and pulling her hair to her injury.

Cockerill also assaulted his 64-year-old grandmother by seizing her by the head and hair, pinning her to a sofa and pulling her hair to her injury.

He further admitted that he breached bail conditions the same day by failing to comply with a home curfew when he was at Inchkeith Drive and outwith his address.

Sheriff Charles MacNair was shown photographs of the injuries sustained by Cockerill’s mum and gran.

The sheriff called for reports and Cockerill will be sentenced on May 8. He will remain in custody until then.
