A 36-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder at a house in Dunfermline.

Police were called to an address in Fod Street, Halbeath, around 7.30pm on Monday April 1.

The victim, who is also 36, was left bleeding from a serious injury to the neck and was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

He was later released.

The man who was arrested is expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today.

“Crime of violence are never acceptable and we will not tolerate this type of criminality in our local community.
