TWO people are injured and are likely to be taken to hospital after a serious crash on the A985.
The road is closed between Cairneyhill roundabout and Longannet roundaout after the incident involving two cars at around 3.45pm.
The crash took place at the B9037 junction and has blocked both directions.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said that, "two parties are still being treated at the scene and are likely to be taken to hospital," following the collision.
Drivers face heavy delays and Traffic Scotland have advised motorists to take alternative routes with both lanes eastbound and westbound blocked by the incident.
A Traffic Scotland spokesperson said: "The A985 is closed in both directions between Cairneyhill and Longannet due to a road traffic incident. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route and should allow for longer than normal journey times."
