A BIG hearted Kings Road Primary pupil has had a hair raising experience all in the name of charity.
Young Rebecca Thomson, 10, had a massive 15 inches of hair chopped off which will be donated to the Little Princess Trust.
She first decided to grow her locks long after reading about a similar feat.
Mum Sam, of Peasehill Gate, explained: "A couple of years ago she had seen an article in the Dunfermline Press of another wee girl who had done exactly what she has done.
"We explained what the girl had done and why she had done it and she said I want to do that.
"She has been growing her hair for the last two years with the intention of donating it and is already talking about doing it again – we are really proud of her."
As well as donating her hair to the charity, Rebecca has also raised around £750 for the charity through sponsorship.
