AN AIR, land and sea search was carried out in the Forth on Monday night.
Coastguards and the RNLI were all involved after being called out to search for a person in the water in the Queensferry area.
A spokesperson for RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat Station said the crew were called into action at 22:09pm.
"It launched and conducted a very thorough search along with land based coastguard teams, the coastguard helicopter from Prestwick and the Hound Point work boat," said the spokesperson.
"Parachute flares were lit before the helicopter arrived then shortly before 1am, with nothing found, the search teams were stood down."
