A 51-YEAR-OLD woman has admitted committing a £11,000 benefit fraud over a two-year period when living in Rosyth.

The offence was carried out by Caroline Black, formerly of Hudson Road, Rosyth, and now of Salvesen Garden, Edinburgh.

She submitted a guilty plea at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

Black admitted that between April 3, 2014, and April 10, 2016, at Hudson Road, Rosyth, she failed to give prompt notification to the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in circumstances which affected her entitlement to Disability Living Allowance.

She failed to report significant improvements in her mobility resulting in a reduction in the care and assistance she required and fraudulently obtained £11,013.60.

Sentencing was deferred until May 14 for reports.
