A COMRIE man became involved in a violent struggle with his dad after a visit to the hospital.

Sam Roan had been driven by his father to Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline with a toe injury.

Roan, 25, of Steel Grove, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on Saturday, at Halbeath Road, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, acted aggressively towards his father and struggled violently with him.

In the car after leaving hospital, an argument broke out, said depute fiscal Alistair McDermid.

“The argument seems to have been about the nature of the injury to the accused’s toe,” he added.

His father stopped the car in Halbeath Road and there was then a struggle between the two of them, the court was told.

“The complainer got out of the car and phoned the police,” said the depute.

The court was told Roan was now moving out of the family home.

Sheriff Charles MacNair fined Roan £335.
