AN Inverkeithing man stole from a Scotmid store and then lied to police about his identity.
Aaron Smith, 23, of Clark Road, was described as living a "very chaotic lifestyle" by his solicitor at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on December 30 last year at Scotmid, High Street, Inverkeithing, he stole a quantity of food and drink.
Also, on January 2 at Roods Road he did, with the intention of evading detection and prosecution in relation to the theft, state to police constables that he was Bradley Crawford, which he knew to be false and this he did with intent to pervert the course of justice.
Sheriff Craig McSherry deferred sentence for a drug treatment and testing order assessment until May 1.
