DUNFERMLINE Delivers and the Kingsgate Shopping Centre host the Dunfermline Food & Craft Weekend this Saturday and Sunday.

This year, the event is shaping up to be even bigger and better with live music, hands-on craft activities and more than 50 stalls, covering an exciting range of street food such as hog roast, Middle Eastern vegan-influenced food, fish and frites and homemade pies.

For the first time, there will be stalls and buskers at the Glen Gates on both days.

On Saturday, Kingdom FM will be hosting a live music roadshow at the gap site on the High Street, alongside a barbecue by awarding-winning butcher Bryan Beveridge.

Chris Foote, events manager at Dunfermline Delivers, said: “This time, we have at least three key sites for the Food & Craft Weekend to encourage footfall throughout the town – there will be stalls and buskers at the Glen Gates, Kingdom FM is at the gap site and there’s lots going on in the Kingsgate.”

There’s lots more to keep the kids entertained including Mini Mocktail Makers, balloon-modelling, face-painting and foodie craft fun with Doodle & Splat.

Street performances by Carnegie Youth Theatre will pop up around town. Dances will be staged by local group On Pointe Performing Arts in the Kingsgate.

On Saturday, Dunfermline Abbey Bakes Cakes and Dunfermline Heritage Partnership is hosting the free Wonky Wonderful Weaving for everyone, from 12.30-3.30pm. And now that wedding season is upon us, Flower Pixies is hosting a free button hole-making class.
