A STREET in Dunfermline is celebrating after nine residents won £1,000 each through the People's Postcode Lottery.
Nine neighbours in Calaisburn Place scooped the cash when KY11 4RD was announced as a Daily Prize winner for today, Friday, May 31.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her congratulations to the lucky players and said: “I’m thrilled for all our winners in Dunfermline today – what better way to kick start your weekend than by finding out you’ve won the lottery. I hope they treat themselves to something special in celebration.”
A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £427 million to date for thousands of good causes in Great Britain and beyond. This draw was promoted by Depaul, which has received over £6.6 million in funding from players to help tackle homelessness.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players support, and the next opportunity local charities will have to apply for funding is in August.
