A WEST Fife Castle is set to open its doors to the public next weekend for the first time in nearly 40 years.

Dunimarle Castle's gardens will be on show from Saturday, June 22 when tours of the castle and chapel will also be on offer – subject to availability.

The venue at Balgownie West, Culross has not opened to the public for 38 years and, after the opening weekend, will welcome guests every week between 10am and 4pm, Thursdays to Sundays.

Entry to the gardens will be £2 and a tour is £5. Further details can be obtained from the Dunimarle Castle Gardens Facebook page.
