A DUNFERMLINE man involved in a street fight later returned to the scene armed with a knife.
Scott Pratt, 30, of Don Road, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on February 23, at Tuke Street, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, making threats of violence and brandishing a slate knife towards the complainer.
Defence solicitor Chris Sneddon said: “His position is that he was travelling in his vehicle when he passed by his sister and the complainer.
“Gestures were made towards him and he then got out of the vehicle.”
There was then a fight, during which Pratt was kicked in his head. He left the scene but returned after arming himself with a knife, said the solicitor.
“He accepts he went away, got the knife and then went back,” added the solicitor.
Pratt claims that the complainer had a knife during the initial confrontation but this is not accepted by the Crown.
Sentence was deferred for reports until July 8 when there will also be a proof of mitigation to established what led up to the offence.
