A WELLWOOD pensioner made threats of violence at Dunfermline police station.

Patrick Lamont, 70, of Ritchie Court, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on March 22 last year, at Dunfermline police station, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and making threats of violence.

Sheriff Charles MacNair called for reports and Lamont will be sentenced on July 3.

In 2017, Lamont was put on a ‘tag’ after punching an ambulance technician.

The ambulance was called after Lamont was found lying on the pavement with a cut head outside a pub in Kirkgate.

He was helped to his feet by police and ambulance staff but his behaviour was described as “obnoxious” by one of the officers.

When he was taken inside the ambulance for treatment, Lamont lashed out as a thermometer was put in his ear.

Ambulance technician Walter Hutton was punched in the stomach by Lamont who then put up his fists and shouted: “The next one who comes near me gets it.”
