The daughter of Glasgow man who vanished more than two weeks ago has given birth.

Bryan Glencross, 40, from Kingsway Court, Scotstoun, was last seen leaving the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) on Friday, May 31 at around 3.30am.

Our sister title The Clydebank Post report that his daughter Khloe McCormick, 19, gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Monday afternoon.

The new arrival came three weeks early weighing 5.5lbs. It is understood the tot has not been named yet.

Bryan's stepdad Jim Docherty, daughter Chloe and mum Margaret.

Bryan's mum Margaret Docherty, 60, made another emotional appeal to her son as the family welcomed the new arrival.

She said: "If you can see or hear any of this, you have now got a granddaughter and your daughter needs you even more."

Bryan was described as being "dead excited" to become a grandad and Margaret said she is "baffled" as to why he is missing.

Margaret added: "It would mean everything for him to come home, the baby would make him happy and Khloe would love to see him."

There has been no sighting of Bryan since he left the QEUH nearly three weeks ago.

He was taken to the hospital by ambulance following a fall at a neighbours. It is understood he had a lump on his head and facial injuries but did not wait to be assessed by medical staff.

Police carried out a stop and speak operation at the QUEH on Friday, June, 14, two weeks since Bryan was last seen.

Officers spoke to around 300 people in a bid to gather any information.
