A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been sentenced for sexually assaulting a woman in Culross.
The incident occurred after the victim offered to give him a lift home.
She gave evidence on the assault during the first day of a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court last month.
On the second day, Jonathon Howison-Hood, 24, of Barbara Stocks Lane, Culross, submitted a guilty plea.
He admitted a charge that on January 24 last year, at Gallows Loan, Culross, he assaulted a woman by seizing her neck and sexually assaulted her by putting his hands inside her clothing, touched her naked breasts, inserted his fingers into the waistband of her lower clothing, kissed her, seized her hand and repeatedly attempted to put it on his naked penis.
Sheriff Craig McSherry had deferred sentencing for reports.
When Howison-Hood returned for sentencing, he was put on a community payback order with 300 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of supervision.
He was also put on the sex offenders’ register for 12 months and ordered to pay £750 compensation to the victim.
