EMERGENCY repairs are to be carried out on a busy road connecting Inverkeithing and Rosyth.

Work is set to be done by operating company Amey on the Dunfermline Wynd overbridge this month which will result in a carriageway closure.

The northbound carriageway of the M90 will be closed between Junction 1b Ferrytoll and Junction 1c Admiralty from 8pm to 6am next Wednesday evening, July 17.

A diversion route for northbound M90 traffic will be signposted from Ferrytoll roundabout via B980 Castleandhill Road, A985 Admiralty Road, B980 King’s Road and the A823(M) westbound.

Traffic using the Dunfermline Wynd overbridge will not be affected by these works.

These repairs have been planned overnight to minimise disruption, however motorists planning to use this route are advised to allow some extra time for their journey.
