A DUNFERMLINE teenager headbutted and punched his partner during an argument in the street.
The incident was witnessed by police officers passing in a car and they arrested Keiren McTavish.
McTavish, 18, formerly of Saline and now of Donald Street, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted on May 4 that at Donald Street, Dunfermline, he assaulted his partner by butting her and punching her on the head.
Depute fiscal Dev Kapadia said McTavish and a friend had been drinking Buckfast before meeting up with the victim.
There was an argument and he grabbed her phone before headbutting and punching her.
The court was told it was McTavish’s third case in a year.
Sheriff James MacDonald imposed a community payback order with 15 months supervision and 175 hours of unpaid work.
The sheriff told McTavish: “If you don’t complete these hours, you’ll come back here and I’ll lock you up.”
